Handling/Training of our Parakeets for Sale

Taming and training parakeets is pretty straightforward. Parakeets become accustomed to their new environment reasonably rapidly. Patience, Repetition, and time are the keys to successful parrot training!

Taming Basics

Even if the parakeets get used to their environment quickly, you should give new parakeets some days to get used to your voice and their cage before trying to handle it. Hand-fed babies will not need much taming and can often be taken immediately, as it is used for human attention. To manage Training, your parakeet first and foremost depends on trust, so take your time and be consistent. Remember, it takes patience to tame and train a bird; never “punish” your parrot! This one destroys the trust you have spent so much time building.

Initial Training

whisper to the bird to calm it and move slowly. Start from the floor and approach the bird from the side rather than head-on. Hold the snack between two fingers and coax it into your hand. It may try to fly; you may have to repeat this

every time. Once your parrot steps on your hand, you start moving it from hand to hand.

If necessary, you can repeat the hand taming sessions several times a day, but for shorter periods of about 20 minutes. Depending on the bird’s tame, these two steps can be done instantaneously, e.g., hand-fed baby. Alternatively, a feral bird may take a few days or more.

Advanced Training

Repetition and frequency are key here. Almost every bird can learn at least a few words, although they don’t usually vocalize like the African Grey or Amazon.

temperament

Budgies are docile and docile birds. They are also easy to tame, mainly acquired at a young age. Pairs of birds can accompany each other, but when living and entertaining in pairs, they may not develop good relationships with their owners or imitate language fluently. Budgies are also very playful, active, and quiet compared to other types of parrots.

Maintain

Primary cage care includes daily cleaning of the water and food dishes. Weekly it would help if you washed all the perches and dirty toys and the floor About every other week. The aviary should be thoroughly rinsed and disinfected annually, replacing anything that needs to be replaced, such as old dishes, toys, and perches.
